Meet Mojito: The Naked Turtle White Rum’s Newly Adopted Sea Turtle

Earlier this summer, The Naked Turtle White Rum announced its Every Bottle Saves a Turtle initiative, pledging to make a donation to its long-time partner, the Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC) for every bottle of the gluten-free, preservative free white rum made. Continuing their combined efforts, The Naked Turtle joined the STC at the 11th annual Sea Turtle Conservation Weekend on the island of Nevis this past weekend.

Hosted in partnership by the STC, Four Seasons Nevis and Nevis Turtle Group, the weekend helps researchers study the migration patterns of endangered sea turtles that nest on Nevis’ beaches. A GPS transmitter was placed on The Naked Turtle’s newly adopted hawksbill sea turtle – aptly named ‘Mojito.’ You can follow along and track Mojito’s whereabouts here and check out additional photos from the weekend here.

Below is a recipe for a Naked Mojito to enjoy this weekend — make a splash this summer as you #SipNakedSaveTurtles and drink for a good cause!
