The 12 Shots of Christmas

The holiday season is here. You must be prepared for an abundance of family time, rude comments from grandma, and duets with your little sister (as well as the annoyed glances from anyone in close proximity). Part of growing up means you get to get wasted during family time, so master these recipes, share with the family, and have a holly, jolly Christmas.

1. Fire and Ice

1 oz Rumple Minze. 1 oz FireBall. You’ll probably make a follow up sound similar to those in minty gum commercials.

2. Mind Eraser

This is by far my favorite shot in the world. 1 oz vodka and 1 oz Kahlua poured over ice. Top it off with soda. Place a straw in your glass (or plastic cup) of magic and drink it all through the straw in one shot. Prepare for a head rush and drunk relatives.

3. Cherry Coke Jello Shot

Boil 1 cup of coke. Stir in a packet of cherry jello. Once the powder has dissolved, pour in 1 cup of vodka. Get the cute little cups and line them up on a baking sheet. Pour in the yummy. Put them in the fridge overnight, and feel free to top them with whipped cream when you take them out.

4. Pickleback

1 shot of Jameson with 1 shot of pickle juice as a chaser. So basically it sounds horrible but is totally awesome.

5. Birthday Cake Shot

Happy birthday, Jesus. We shall celebrate you with equal parts Cake flavored vodka, Godiva chocolate liqueur, and half & half– shake with ice, pour into a shot glass, put sprinkles on the rim if you’re feeling super fancy. Knock ’em back in the name of sweet, baby Jesus.

6. Moonshine Cherry Cheesecake Bombs

If you happen to have a jar of Ole Smokey Moonshine Cherries in your fridge, this is great for you. If not, maybe you’ll be intrigued enough to purchase some. Mix 8 oz of whipped cream cheese, 1 cup confectioner’s sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy. Dip the cherry in the mixture and cover in crushed graham crackers. Or just refer to the original recipe.

7. Blow Job Shooter

1 oz Kahlua, 1 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream. Top it with whipped cream. You know the rules- no hands. Have fun watching grandma do a blow job shot.

8. Pineapple Upside Down Cake

1 oz Vanilla Vodka. 1 oz pineapple juice. 1/4 oz grenadine. There’s a party in my tummy- SO YUMMY! SO YUMMY!

9. Dirt Cups

Mix together 1 box of chocolate pudding, 3/4 cup milk, 1/4 cup vodka, 1/2 cup Kahlua, and 8 oz Cool Whip. Mix well, pour into cups, add a gummy worm, and refrigerate overnight. Top off with oreo crumbs and eat it up. Keep away from children.

10. Flamin’ Beaver

Half Fireball Whiskey. Half Hard Cider. So basically you’re getting drunk off apple pie.

11. Red-Headed Slut

1 oz cranberry juice. 1/2 oz peach schnapps. 3/4 oz Jagermeister. Perfect to take with all of your red-headed family members.

12. Vodka Gummy Bears

Fill a glass bowl with gummy bears. Cover the bears with vodka. Cover the bowl with foil or plastic wrap. Let the bears absorb the vodka in the fridge for a couple days, and then remove them from the bowl using a slotted spoon. You should probably set out some toothpicks or spoons as the bears tend to be a bit sticky after bathing in vodka for a couple days.
